Happenings

Our garden has been doing very well this year! We have canned 40 quarts of green beans this year. We are getting lots of tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden as well! Today we had a salad with fresh veggies!

We have continued to play music! Dad bought a banjo, so we have a "family band"! We like to jam with friends and family!

We have been so thankful that it hasn't been a drought this year! We have been getting quite a bit of rain this summer!

The other day I sewed matching skirts for Jojo and I! They came out very cute! I also have been sewing dresses for an orphanage in Haiti.

It has been too long!

So sorry for those out there that check my blog for updates.

We have been doing good! We have been trying to stay busy.

I have 14 tomato plants and 6 pepper plants that are growing well. We are thinking about having a small garden this year, since we have had two years in a row with the drought. If this year ends up that we don't have a drought then we will have a big garden. We will just have to see. The radishes and lettuce and spinach are growing well.

We have been playing music. I have been learning the guitar and some of my siblings are learning different instruments. It is very fun to play.

We have 12 laying hens and our cat, Mister Plush. We are planning on getting 50 meat chickens again this year.

Canning Applesauce

 

We made applesauce on Monday! We turned 7 bushels of apples into 70 quarts of applesauce! It took us all day but was well worth the effort! It turned out delicious!

Fun at Frontier City

We had a lot of fun at Frontier City on Sunday! Dad took us older ones on the wild rides like the roller coasters, etc.! Dad didn't ride. Mom took the younger ones and did the little rides. Everyone had a blast! It was the first time that any of us children had been at a amusement park.

This one was our favorite roller coaster. It was called The Steel Lasso.
